This is what I have: ASRock K8S8X A64 3200+ Corsair PC-3200 When I boot up, I can hit F2 to go into BIOS. When the Minimal A64 2004.2 Gentoo LiveCD boots, I can enter boot options. But after that, my keyboard stops working. It goes into the Gentoo screen, but I can't type anything whatsoever. It's weird because Num Lock is active on the keyboard, although I can't disable it by hitting the Num Lock key, nor can I enable other things like Caps Lock. And of course, none of the other keys work either. I thought that it might be a USB problem. The USB options in my BIOS are: Onboard USB - Enabled USB2 Support - Enabled USB Legacy Mode - Enabled (When I didn't have USB Legacy Mode on, I couldn't even enter boot options). I tried fiddling around with these options, but to no avail. I have no idea what's the problem, so I asked around. A lot of people have suggested that it might be a bug (maybe incompatibility with the motherboard), so here I am. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Just boot. Actual Results: 2. Couldn't type. Expected Results: Typed.
Known problem with <=2004.3. Will address this in 2005.0.
Got same problem with USB Keyboard and LiveCD 2004.3 but x86. My config: Abit AT7-Max2 + AMD AthlonXP 2200+ (Thorton).
2004.2 is unsupported for some time already.
