iksemel is an XML (eXtensible Markup Language) parser library designed for Jabber applications. It is coded in ANSI C for POSIX compatible environments, thus highly portable. I suggest dev-libs category for iksemel.

app-office/imposter uses iksemel. If it cant find installed iksemel then it use the bundled one. So marking http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=49845 one as depends this one and adding a iksemel USE flag can be usefull.
Jon Interested in this one?
Sure, I can take this one. I am curious as to why: RESTRICT="nomirror" is in the ebuild; is there anything that would prohibit this package from being placed on the gentoo mirrors?
Of course no :), this is here because while trying to wrote this yesterday, i use the true download link which is "http://www.jabberstudio.org/projects/iksemel/releases/download.php?file=iksemel-1.2.tar.gz" But portage cant handle this '?' mark, and try to download a file from one of the sf.net mirrors or try to download a file named "download.php?file=iksemel-1.2.tar.gz". So i try to find the direct download link and i subtitute this one with direct link. While working on it i think i forget to delete this line :=)
new imposter and iksemel now in portage; USE flag implemented. Thank you :). I do have one comment about the ebuild though: only add architectures to the KEWYRODS that you can test for.
i add these KEYWORDS because i looked the tested arch's in debian's packages repository :) http://packages.debian.org/cgi-bin/search_packages.pl?keywords=iksemel&searchon=names&subword=1&version=unstable&release=all
