When I have my system wide php cli set to php 7.0 or 7.1 I can't compile dev-php/PEAR-Console_Table:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected 'new' (T_NEW) in /usr/share/php/PEAR/Frontend.php on line 91
 * ERROR: dev-php/PEAR-Console_Table-1.1.6::gentoo failed (install phase):


Upstream has released 1.3.0 which according to its changelog has some php7 related fixes. So I assume bumping the version will probably fix this:
