Why lvm2 in not optional for building genkernel-next? I do not using lvm (and even more ramdisk). Do I really need lvm2 and thin-provisioning-tools?
Same problem here: I have a small-footprint single disk server (in a VM), why should I emerge lvm2 and its (quite big) dependencies? I tried emerging this without lvm2 (using --nodeps) and it works like a charm.
Package removed.
