gcc -DHAVE_CONFIG_H -I. -I. -I../include -I../include -I../include -Wall -march=k8 -ftracer -pipe -O3 -fomit-frame-pointer -fno-common -c cpu_accel.c -fPIC -DPIC -o .libs/libmpeg2arch_la-cpu_accel.o
{standard input}: Assembler messages:
{standard input}:13: Error: suffix or operands invalid for `pop'
{standard input}:16: Error: suffix or operands invalid for `push'

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. emerge libmpeg2
2.
3.

Actual Results:
 gcc -DHAVE_CONFIG_H -I. -I. -I../include -I../include -I../include -Wall
-march=k8 -ftracer -pipe -O3 -fomit-frame-pointer -fno-common -c cpu_accel.c
-fPIC -DPIC -o .libs/libmpeg2arch_la-cpu_accel.o
{standard input}: Assembler messages:
{standard input}:13: Error: suffix or operands invalid for `pop'
{standard input}:16: Error: suffix or operands invalid for `push'

If you comment out the CPU acceleration section all will compile and run slow.

Please provide the output of "emerge info"! Thx
Comment 2 Brian Litzinger 2004-08-20 17:40:15 UTC
It is now emerging/compiling correctly. I've done the occasional emerge sync, emerge -u world, and the profile has been updated since I filed the bug.
So I can no longer demonstrate the problem. If you still want the emerge info
let me know. Otherwise it looks like a closable bug.
