Even the most recent glibc-2.24-patches-3.tar.bz2 (from https://dev.gentoo.org/~vapier/dist/) uses "#!/sbin/runscript" in extra/etc/nscd, which is installed by /usr/portage/sys-libs/glibc/files/eblits/src_install.eblit, itself sourced from every glibc ebuilds. There is however already a converted init script using "#!/sbin/openrc-run" (since https://gitweb.gentoo.org/repo/gentoo.git/commit/sys-libs/glibc/files/nscd?id=3517936064908b87398ecb264ba39341148de6c3), as /usr/portage/sys-libs/glibc/files/nscd, but from what I understand, it's never installed. I suppose you have plans for this, but it's the last init script on my system calling runscript, and I can't find people talking about this one, so I'm reporting it just in case it was forgotten to be used (particularly since it's behind a non-default USE flag, and probably not used much).
