where in the guide it is instructing the user how to configure awesfx to work with their sound setup in order to provide HW midi mixing, it tells them to load the soundfont using sfxload, however, sfxload is for oss, they should be using asfxload, which is the one meant for alsa users. when following the guide as-is i get the following: gentoo1 Downloads # sfxload /usr/share/sfbank/Unison.sf2 /dev/sequencer: No such device or address when i change that one little thing and use asfxload instead: gentoo1 Downloads # asfxload /usr/share/sfbank/Unison.sf2 gentoo1 Downloads # it goes through without any problem, and i can play a midi file using pmidi.
