after having installed mozilla-firefox-0.9.3-r1, my (already) saved passwords disappeared and firefox doesn't remember new ones.

I can confirm this bug. Please, someone check this one out.

Increase priority please.

it could have been a profile bug, rename / back up your old ~/.firefox directory and see if it remembers with a new profile..

Indeed it was... the bad thing is that the restoration of cookies and so on must be done manually. Perhaps we should look deeper into the code to see what's happening.

I think this had to do with bad extensions being compiled in by the eclass at one point.  Please try with 1.0-r2, I think it won't be a problem.
