libgtkhtml depends on gal-2.0 (specifically, the latest version of 1.99.11), it does not look for gal-2.2 (latest in portage is 2.1.13). These libraries are slotted. There is no current gal dependancy specified in the ebuild at all. adding the following dependancy works: =gnome-extra/gal-1.99.11* Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.emerge libgtkhtml-3.0.10-r1 2. 3. Actual Results: libgtkhtml's configure script complained about the lack of gal-2.0 >= 1.99.11 Expected Results: compiled and installed libgtkhtml
hmm yeah this is a problem lqx, although it only happens if you remove some blocks from p.mask atm.
Only partially, however. You are correct in gal-2.1 being in package.mask, but libgtkhtml does not have any gal dependancy listed at all. I suppose without removing the mask, another package would have depended on gal already and this issue would not appear, but libgtkhtml's ebuild should still properly list dependancies.
the gal dep is there alright, but it's not strict enough anymore.
went ahead & fixed it, tnx for the report.
Thanks for fixing, and I actually apologize for missing the existing gal dep, especially since after going back and checking, it was the first one listed.
