Description Cletus Lichte 2004-08-10 11:19:57 UTC
I just emerged mozilla-1.7.2 with the following USE flags set:

net-www/mozilla-1.7.2 +crypt -debug -debug -gnome -gtk2 -gtk2 -java -java -ldap +mozcalendar -mozdevelop +moznocompose +moznoirc -moznomail -moznoxft -moznoxft +mozplaintext +mozsvg -mozxmlterm +ssl -xinerama +xprint

When trying to compose email, the compose window will not accept *any* input, no matter if I have plaintext or html composing set.

It will also not send any email at all. I've tried to forward, reply and send an empty email; mozilla just crashes.

emerge info:

It appears that USE=mozplaintext disables the editor widget entirely. However it works for me without that flag. I'm testing now with thunderbird to see if it works there or not

I found that I had to tab down to the compose window. Or maybe it was the fact that I had to put in a subject. You might try something like that...

thunderbird doesn't work with mozplaintext either. I've disabled that USE flag for both mozilla and thunderbird now.
