Description Nicholas Wourms 2002-08-04 09:00:12 UTC
Hi,

I just wanted to report that when emerging openmotif, the compiling process does
not use my optimization flags definied in make.conf. I invistigated, and
discovered that we are using an ancient version of openmotif. The home for
openmotif is no longer at metro-x, but rather is located at:

http://www.motifzone.org/

The new release version is 2.2.2, but you can get an even better version from
the cvs on that same page. The cvs sources now have the capability of being
compiled with Autoconf/Automake/Libtool tools, rather than the somewhat
questionable Imake system. I cancelled my earlier ebuild and built the sources
from cvs. I encountered no issues with GCC-3.2, so I think it would be safe to
say that the cvs sources are reasonably stable. Just thought I'd let you know.

openmotif-2.2.2 has been released into portage. It should be available on the
rsync servers within 24 hours.
