Whoopsie, the press release is actually here, http://www.fceux.com/web/pressrelease-2.2.3.html
Created attachment 454812 [details] Updated ebuild with debugging symbols disabled by default. fceux-2.2.3.ebuild This is a bumped ebuild for fecux-2.2.3 with a new feature to disable the debugging symbols which are otherwise enabled by default.
Created attachment 454814 [details, diff] fceux-2.2.3-warnings.patch This is simply the same patch which was used with the fceux-2.2.3 ebuild. There are no errors during src_prepare() and the patch appears to be useful still.
bump I was about to file this bug myself but then bugzilla told me it had already been filed as a duplicate. Version 2.2.3 was indeed back in 2016, a version bump is long overdue.

Hi Pacho, Thanks for the commit. Is there any reason you removed the logic which makes disabling the debugging symbols a USE flag? Does this happen automatically with strip or something? Best Regards, -Chicago
