Attempting to install spark-parser today I ran into the following issue, seemingly from a distutils sandbox rather than the portage one. Seems this is just a missing dependency on dev-python/nose. The setup.py lists it as a setup_requirement, even though it's only really required for tests. As such without USE="test", it gives the listed complaint.
