Please stabilize.
Comment 1 account-removed 2016-11-15 09:49:48 UTC
Yes, please stabilize -- Gajim 0.16.5 does not work together with the current GnuPG 2.1.15, completely breaking OpenPGP-encrypted chats. Gajim reports this error message:

Exception in thread Thread-14:
Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "/usr/lib64/python2.7/threading.py", line 810, in __bootstrap_inner
    self.run()
File "/usr/lib64/python2.7/threading.py", line 763, in run
    self.__target(*self.__args, **self.__kwargs)
  File "/usr/lib64/python2.7/site-packages/gajim/common/gnupg.py", line 772, in _read_response
    result.handle_status(keyword, value)
  File "/usr/lib64/python2.7/site-packages/gajim/common/gnupg.py", line 628, in handle_status
    raise ValueError("Unknown status message: %r" % key)
ValueError: Unknown status message: u'KEY_CONSIDERED'

The problem is known and fixed upstream already: https://trac.gajim.org/ticket/8355

I unmasked 0.16.6-r1 for amd64 on my machine and can confirm that the problem is gone with that version.

Greetings
Marvin

arches, ping. There are some serious bug fixes this versions fixes and users from time to time comment on these bug reports that these fixes are not in stable.

...bugs this version fixes... - rather than bug fixes being fixed. (-:
Comment 4 Tobias Klausmann (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2016-12-21 12:37:09 UTC
Stable on amd64.
