there is a new listings package (v1.2) out since 13.02.2004. It is mainly a bugfix release but contains some new features too (linerange using arbitrary markers). This new linerange system is incredibly useful when icluding external sourcecode.

I tested a simple version bump on two different boxes and everything worked fine.
