Description Jefferson Carpenter 2016-11-06 18:18:32 UTC
Ahoy,

When I compile the latest Wine source (wine commit eb3ceac) using "./configure --enable-win64 && make" I get the following error at the end of the terminal output, which asks that I submit a bug report:

lol@localhost:wine(2)\ ./configure --enable-win64 && make
...
...
...
crypt_md4.c: In function ‘MD4Update’:
crypt_md4.c:134:1: internal compiler error: in choose_baseaddr, at config/i386/i386.c:10412
 }
 ^
Please submit a full bug report,
with preprocessed source if appropriate.
See <https://bugs.gentoo.org/> for instructions.
Makefile:265: recipe for target 'crypt_md4.o' failed
make[1]: *** [crypt_md4.o] Error 1
make[1]: Leaving directory '/home/lol/p/wine/dlls/advapi32'
Makefile:1646: recipe for target 'dlls/advapi32' failed
make: *** [dlls/advapi32] Error 2

When I compile for 32-bit ("./configure && make") it compiles just fine. Let me know if there is any other info that you need.

emerge --info output:

Why don`t you use "emerge wine-9999" ?

The ebuild has a check for that gcc bug.

The bug in gcc has been fixed for 5.3 in
https://gitweb.gentoo.org/repo/gentoo.git/commit/sys-devel/gcc/gcc-5.3.0.ebuild?id=1ef82c8f5e1d26c833fad30ea382d0a5265588ee

And there are higher versions available.

Please update your gcc and your whole world.

So this bug is fixed.
