Description Thomas Deutschmann (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2016-11-04 21:17:04 UTC
bugs.gentoo.org isn't reachable via IPv6 from Germany's largest ISP (Deutsche Telekom AG aka DTAG).

I got the following technical reply from DTAG's NOC:

> Routing Status (2607:fcc0:4:ffff::4): multi-resource
>
> At 2016-11-04 16:00:00 UTC, 2607:fcc0::/35 was 100% visible (by 149 of 149 RIS full peers).
>
> First ever seen announced by AS36483, on 2016-04-12 00:00:00 UTC.
>
> Originated by: AS36483 (valid route object in RADB)

> IP address (2607:fcc0:4:ffff::4) has been converted to its encompassing routed prefix (2607:fcc0::/35)

DTAG gets the following networks advertised

> * 2607:fcc0:2000::/35     2003:0:130b:2b::2    0                  6939 13768 36483 I
>   2607:fcc0:4000::/35     2003:0:130b:2b::2    0                  6939 13768 36483 36483 36483 36483 36483 I
> * 2607:fcc0:6000::/35     2003:0:130b:2b::2    0                  6939 32244 I

The IP block 2607:fcc0:4: is missing.

Neither net 2607:fcc0::/35 nor net 2607:fcc0:4::/35 which would contain the current IPv6 of bugs.gentoo.org (2607:fcc0:4:ffff::4) are announced by any peer available for DTAG, yet.

This should be escalated to the ISP which is currently responsible for bugs.gentoo.org's IPv6 network.
