Description Attila Stehr 2016-11-03 19:23:44 UTC
app-misc/trash-cli-0.12.9.14-r2 lacks the trash-restore command although it is mentioned in the documentation - but it has restore-trash instead

The commands look like trash-<specific_action> [options] like trash-list etc. Equery -f shows that a file named restore-trash is installed. After a test it seems to do what a trash-restore should do.

The webside of the creator https://github.com/andreafrancia/trash-cli shows these commands: "
trash-put trashes files and directories.
trash-empty empty the trashcan(s).
trash-list list trashed file.
trash-restore restore a trashed file.
trash-rm remove individual files from trash can."

Please spare people freaking out when they get the impression that there is no restore at all. ;-)

documentation has versions for a reason
Comment 2 Alex Xu (Hello71) 2016-11-03 20:18:56 UTC
although I will concede that the metadata.xml link is not great
Comment 3 Attila Stehr 2016-11-03 20:25:10 UTC
documentation like

$> man trash
[...]

Very helpful.
Yes I discovered /usr/share/doc/trash-cli-0.12.9.14-r2/README.rst.xz meanwhile. Anyhow it's not consistent and IMO everybody would try "man" first!

I changed the status to "WONTFIX" then.
