I've just tested with xorg-x11-6.7.0-r2 on amd64, it worked fine for me. (I've also built on x86 with xorg-x11-6.7.0-r2)

How about remerging xorg-x11-6.7.0-r2 then trying mozilla again? Just curious
Comment 2 Gabriel Devenyi 2004-08-09 19:44:59 UTC
Rebuilt xorg, tried again, same error
Comment 3 Gabriel Devenyi 2004-08-10 20:38:06 UTC
Well, I'l try without xinerama in USE and see if it survives, otherwise, anyone have any ideas?
Comment 4 Dick Marinus 2004-11-10 12:42:59 UTC
same problem here (with mozilla-firefox-1.0)
USE=-xinerama emerge mozilla-firefox seems to "fix" it for me...

PS. Bug 59852 is a duplicate of this bug

Just built with USE=xinerama on x86 with xorg-x11-6.8.0-r1, worked well again.

Please create an attachment to this bug with the full log of the failing firefox build. You can create this with the "script" command like this:

script
emerge mozilla-firefox
exit

Then attach the file "typescript" to this bug. Thanks.

Simon, could you also attach your config.log? (only Simon please... I want the config.log that matches with the broken build)
Comment 10 Dick Marinus 2004-11-15 13:23:31 UTC
I just like to mention I'm using a patched version of firefox (to compile using the latests freetype)

Just to state that I have the same problem with mozilla-firefox-1.0 . (exact same error message except that I don't use distcc in this case)
Comment 13 Brenden Matthews 2005-01-01 22:31:39 UTC
I've been having this problem for ages now, I get it with mozilla, mozilla-firefox, and gecko-sdk. It's very annoying, can't wait until it's fixed. Usually a "USE=-xinerama emerge mozilla-firefox" does the trick, but I would like to see this fixed. Recompiling xorg does nothing.
Comment 14 Dick Marinus 2005-04-29 10:50:51 UTC
[ebuild R ] www-client/mozilla-firefox-1.0.3 -debug -gnome +java +ldap +mozdevelop -moznoxft +mozsvg +mozxmlterm +xinerama -xprint 32,015 kB [1]

problem is fixed for me...
Comment 15 Gabriel Devenyi 2005-07-28 17:47:25 UTC
Has gone away
