I installed this package and it disappeared from the application menu.

internet/

Both -beta and -unstable still show up.

Do you also have the beta and unstable versions installed as well?

Yes, I have all of them installed.

First thing you could check is that /usr/share/applications/google-chrome.desktop is installed and looks like a valid desktop file.

You might also log in using a different user account to see if the launcher shows up under a fresh DE profile.

unstable vs stable

I don't know what a valid desktop file looks like (yet...), still a little green.

I did however run a diff between the unstable and stable ones, anything suspicious?

Nothing stands out to me in that diff. Looks normal.

Closing because this has since been fixed in a later version.
