texstudio-2.11.2 claims there is a newer version "2.11.2" on startup.

I do not understand the source of this problem yet and thought it would be an upstream problem. 

Please have a short look at the original bug ticket on SF [1]. 
Perhaps there is an easy solution...

The easy solution is to ask upstream not to re-release versions and release a fixed 2.11.3 or 2.11.2.1 instead.

Now that 2.12.0 is released, this latest version will always appear when you use the update check. So I'd consider this bug obsolete.
