Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. emerge libxml2
Actual Results:

Comment 1 robertc96 2004-08-07 16:46:22 UTC
emerges successfully on my box maybe it's a hardware issue
Comment 2 Bjarke Istrup Pedersen (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-08-07 22:24:55 UTC
Compiles fine here too, tried on 4 different boxes, wasn't able to reproduce the error.
Try reemerging glibc, and then emerge libxml2 again.
Comment 3 foser (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-08-08 04:11:40 UTC
internal gcc errors are usually hardware trouble in our experience. Especially because this package is known to work & build on a lot of systems and all of your other buildsettings seem conservative enough.

Does it consistently fail at the same spot ?
Comment 4 Henning Rogge 2004-08-08 05:15:34 UTC
rebuilding glibc failed with a similar error. Maybe there was a bug during my bootstrap, I will reinstall the system from a stage 2 installation and tell you what happened.
Comment 5 foser (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-08-08 05:38:33 UTC
i strongly suggest you check your hardware first, it may be overheating or your memory can be corrupt (use memtest86).

Closing this for now, cause i bet it's not a libxml2 problem. Reopen if proven otherwise.
