The ebuild for the new net-im/skypeforlinux doesn't perform the required operations to make it working on with the pax_kernel IUSE: i.e. disabling MPROTECT in such case. As far as I can see, the code is already in the ebuild, but it has been commented out. Is it possible to re-enable it? Anyway, here's my emerge --info: Portage 2.3.2 (python 2.7.12-final-0, hardened/linux/amd64/no-multilib, gcc-5.3.0, glibc-2.23-r2, 4.4.21-gentoo x86_64) I'm afraid I'm not familiar with the concept, but I did see the comments. Does anyone know if this stuff was commented out because it only applies to the classic version?
Well, the command line in the ebuild comment is more or less correct. I had to run "paxctl -Cm /opt/skypeforlinux/skypeforlinux" on my console to have the binary correctly running on my gentoo system. So, it's just a matter of fixing the path in the ebuild file and IMHO it should work.
PR merged, fixed version is now in the master portage tree. stable mirror has already caught up, rsync users please be patient.
