Strange behaviour with media-gfx/inkscape-0.91-r3: bitmap (PCF) fonts (f.i., lfpfonts) are not rendered at all (a default 'sans' family is used instead), even though they are available and correctly rendered in the drop-down "Select font family" (Alt+X) font menu.

The same fonts are rendered correctly in Gimp.

I wonder if it has anything to do with this upstream Bug: https://bugs.launchpad.net/inkscape/+bug/167076

Does not seem to be a problem anymore.

Yeah it looks OK.

BTW, it looks like some font packages lack fontconfig files, indeed

  $ equery f media-fonts/lfpfonts-fix | grep etc
  $ equery f media-fonts/artwiz-latin1 | grep etc

gives nothing. Maybe others are affected. Their fonts are still picked up by Inkscape but not rendered: so, I wonder why they appear in the font menu... Could that explain the issue?
