I'm trying to build the latest version to see if it fixes a bug in the sane-avision backend used by my new scanner as recommended by the sane mailing list.
Thanks

To work around this bug, comment out (put a '#' in front of)

	epatch "${FILESDIR}"/${PN}-1.0.25-disable-usb-tests.patch

in the ebuild.

It would be nice, if you could in addition try to run the tests (emerge
with FEATURES=test).

Sorry for the delay, I accidentaly mis-sorted my mail. I will emerge this with FEATURES test if at all possible.

Had to emerge with MAKEOPTS="-j1" because otherwise the docs would not build.
It was built with FEATURE test.
I also had to comment out:
mv configure.{in,ac} || die
