Description Torbjörn Svensson 2004-08-06 05:48:13 UTC
The ebuild uses some eclasses witch defines "debug" in there IUSE. This leads to that the package "glibc" has 2 debug-useflags. I haven't seen this before so I think it's a bug, but not sure as it isn't defined in the ebuild itself. Please ignore and close this bug if I'm wrong.

Thanks for a greate dist!

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. emerge -pv glibc
2.
3.

Actual Results:
# emerge -pv glibc|grep glibc
[ebuild U ] sys-libs/glibc-2.3.4.20040619-r1 [2.3.4.20040619] -build -debug
-debug -erandom -hardened -makecheck -multilib +nls -nptl -pic 9 kB

Expected Results:
something like this:
[ebuild U ] sys-libs/glibc-2.3.4.20040619-r1 [2.3.4.20040619] -build -debug
-erandom -hardened -makecheck -multilib +nls -nptl -pic 9 kB

Comment 1 Brian Harring (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-08-07 04:56:44 UTC
The expected results pop up in portage-2.0.51; seems to be a .50 only bug.
Marking this as InCVS, since it's minor (visual) and corrected in .51.
.50 has a couple of visual bugs related to emerge -vp unfortunately :-/
Comment 2 Nicholas Jones (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-10-22 08:47:56 UTC
Bug has been fixed and released in stable portages on or before 2.0.51-r2
