vte:2.91 is the only supported version by vte upstream, hence, we should try to use it if possible. giggle upstream ported it long time ago but, as they haven't released any newer tarball for a long time, we would need to manually apply this (or take a newer snapshot)

Thanks for the bug report!  I've added the patch (547bf1f772e2900745767349468e13960d84f8d5), but it seems there haven't been any new releases in four years (and most of the commits since then have just been translation commits).  I'm happy to support this package for now, but it will probably need retiring soon...
