A 3D game engine and framework for Python and C++. Originally from Disney, it is now at home at Carnegie Mellon University. Very responsive and helpful in IRC. Works on Linux, Windows and OSX and with Python from 2.6 to 3.5 (the ebuild only supports 3.x). Contains current release 1.9.2 and a live ebuild. The ebuild is originally based on the one from ezod's overlay but, except for the dependency list, virtually every line was changed. And I would like to become maintainer for this, too.
Out of curiosity, it looks like they never quite migrated to CMake right? I wrote some live ebuilds a few years ago but never pursued getting them into the tree: https://github.com/erikmack/gentoo-overlay/tree/c69806f61156bc0791b97b317cdfdba4e9e6df7b/games-engines ... in case they help with anything.
No, doesn't look like they have. Thanks, I haven't seen those yet. I had a quick look at those ebuilds and at first glance it looks like most of it doesn't apply anymore (in particular the building seems a lot simpler now), but I'll go through them more thoroughly when I have time.
*** Bug 277620 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. ***
We no longer use these bugs. See: https://wiki.gentoo.org/wiki/Project:Proxy_Maintainers/User_Guide#Taking_over_an_existing_package Long story short: 1. If your request has been fulfilled already and you're the maintainer, ignore this. 2. If you have submitted the ebuilds separately, we'll handle it there. If that's via a bug, please make sure that proxy-maint@ is in CC. Feel free to ping us if things aren't moving forward for a long time. 3. If you haven't submitted anything yet, please submit a meaningful change to the package (bugfix, version bump, ebuild update...) along with the maintainer update and you'll become the maintainer when we merge it. Sorry for the trouble.
