Description John Herdy 2002-08-03 05:35:59 UTC
Bug:
The following line in audigy-script must be changed (first is wrong, second is
ok).
CONFIG=$BASE_PATH/bin/emu-config $DSPDEV $MIXERDEV
CONFIG=$BASE_PATH/sbin/emu-config $DSPDEV $MIXERDEV
http://www.gentoo.org/cgi-bin/viewcvs.cgi/gentoo-x86/media-sound/emu10k1-audigy/files/audigy-script

Update:
The version of the driver being used is not the latest (and greatest). A new
driver is able to use more nifty features from the audigy.

Feature1 (or bug?):
The following line in config must be changed (first is wrong, second is ok).
SEQUENCER_SUPPORT := n
SEQUENCER_SUPPORT := y
This file is used when compiling the driver. Please make sure that this file is
being used when compiling the driver.

Feature2:
When installing the files from sourceforge.net I get a bass/treble control in
my mixer out of the box. When using the portage-script I don't get the
bass/treble control in my mixer. To be honest I don't know which file or
setting is wrong. My request is to make sure that the result when installing
the portage-script is exactly the same as the manual installation.

I forgot one thing: after merging emu10k1-audigy the emu10k1 module needs to be
added to /etc/modules.autoload. Could this be added to the ebuild?

Additional information for Feature 2:
The following line in emu10k1.conf must be changed (first is wrong, second is
ok).
ENABLE_TONE_CONTROL=no
ENABLE_TONE_CONTROL=yes

Need to rework emu10k1-audigy, and I don't agree with all of the changes in this
bug report.
