Created attachment 448476 [details] Xorg.0.log I am using the current release of Gentoo "LiveCD/DVD" available from Gentoo.org. From the x86... from accepting the X86config to the complete KDE frame works, there is a 5+ minute delay before the GUI desktop background. During most of the delay the display shows a blank screen. Using <alt><ctrl><F12> during the boot, I observed that the boot is constantly trying to install 'enp2s0'.

The 5+ minute delay in desktop loading issue doesn't affect the latest iso. Which iso did you download because it seems to be the previous livedvd and not the current one.
All right. I will a new Gentoo LiveDVD/CD from the Gentoo.org web site. I am hoping that the keyboard issue during the DVD launch has been also corrected.
This one seems to affect an old version of the DVD and not the CDs. Is that accurate?
Well, I always download the most current liveDVD for installation. It did work for a few times. But did not work after that. Please update me on development. I needed to add Solaris X86-64 to my test servers.
Close this dingle-berry. Boot time is a lot better. Singularly, Frank P.S. Look up "dingle-berry". It's an old term, but in some cases, still a good term. ;)
Thanks for the late report ;)
