Description Joe McNamee 2004-08-05 08:53:57 UTC
I know a lot of people are looking forward to MySQL 5 being release since it will be supporting Stored Procedures and cursory Cursors. 5.0.1 is the latest alpha release. I will be starting on an ebuild but since this is the first ebuild I will have ever made, it will probably take a while.

i'm NOT going to put MySQL5 into the tree until it's at a beta stage, and we're happy with the progress of MySQL4.1 (we don't even have a decent ebuild to put in the tree for it yet).

It's beta stage now. If there is a MySQL ebuild bug currently open maybe you
could refer to it?

mysql-5.0.9_beta is in CVS
