To do xmodem transfers ckermit uses 'xc' (formerly xcomm).  Currently, this is 
not part of the gentoo portage tree and not included as a requirement for 
ckermit. 
 
As a minimum would it be possible to have 'xc' added to the portage tree? 
Optimally, could 'xc' also be added as a requirement for ckermit?

I can't find xc anywhere on the net, maybe you know where it can be found and
maybe write a ebuild for it?

'xc' (XC Comm) if located at:   ftp://sunsite.unc.edu/pub/Linux/apps/serialcomm/dialout/xc-4.3.2.tar.gz  However, it won't compile as it depends on libtermcap and that doesn't exist in gentoo.  I suppose I could just install libtermcap...why is excluded from the portage tree?
