After an emerge -upDNv world with the new KDE5, my dual monitor setup does not seem to get saved. I have a dual monitor setup that is used as a single large desktop: 3840x1200 and i have an old nvidia card (gt5xx) using nvidia binary drivers. What happens, each time i start X, is that the two monitors are overlapping (as shown by the nvidia-settings tool). After moving (always from the nvidia-settings tool) one screen to the side of the other and clicking on apply, the correct display is shown. Even saving to xorg.conf does not change the issue. This was not happening on the previous version of KDE5. As there is no KDE5, please describe what actual versions of Plasma you upgraded to and from.
Sorry, i should have been more precise, i am currently using kde-frameworks/plasma-5.23.0 and kde-plasma/plasma-meta-5.6.5 i do not remember previous versions however i am not useing ~amd64 so it should be previous stable version.
I think what you see is https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=346961 But you can try to unmask and upgrade to =kde-plasma/libkscreen-5.6.5-r1, it solved a similar config issue for another user.

Now it is working, bug can be closed
