There are many new features, but also changes in the source.
It will be a demanding task to bump the ebuild. 

Everybody can help the kde team by testing ebuilds for kdevelop-5 and report, problems/help to improve the ebuilds.

I have been using the dev-util/kdevelop-5.0.9999 and dev-util/kdevplatform-5.0.9999 ebuilds for quite some time now without problems.

Does not work for me, compilation breaks close to the end.

I found that thee is mismatch between kdevplatform-5.0.0 and kdevelo-5.0.0, I reported a bug to kde:

Can you check the files from the bug error in your kdevplatform installation whether you can reproduce what I see?

Thanks, moved to main tree.

We have worked around the build failure for now by not allowing the legacy CPP plugin to be built.
