Hello, I'm getting these "sh: printf: I/O error" randomly during rc boot or shutdown. With OpenRC 0.19.1 and 0.21.3 and /bin/sh -> /bin/dash Reproducible: Sometimes
I need more information to track this down. In particular, please attach the output of "emerge --info sys-apps/openrc" as well as a copy of /var/log/rc.log when the error happens. If rc.log does not exist, set rc_logger=yes in /etc/rc.conf. Thanks, William

Hi, I see that the emerge --info you attached shows OpenRC-0.21.3. However, the rc.log does not show the error you described and it shows boots from OpenRC 0.17.x and 0.18.x. Can you get a log for 0.21.3? Thanks, William
What? The previous rc.log does show "sh: printf: I/O error" (two times, in fact). Here's a rc.log with openrc 0.21.3 and these errors (they seem more rare, though).
