Description Christoph Bussenius 2004-08-01 08:58:03 UTC
When I re-emerge ircd-hybrid, the configuration files in /etc/ircd/ get overridden. I think this ist because pkg_postinst() in the ebuild uses "cp" in spite of insinto and doins.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. emerge ircd-hybrid
2. edit /etc/ircd/ircd-ipv4.conf
3. emerge ircd-hybrid again
4. your edits are lost

It's has been fixed a long time ago. There is also a low bandwidth DoS vulnerability in ircd-hybrid currently in portage, that's fixed too. 7.0.3 is out too, but I don't bother to commit anymore. It wouldn't end up in the tree before the next version anyway. Btw, the one in unstable won't even compile, so... have fun with QA. See bug #10275 for more info.

I commited 7.0.3 to CVS. It has checks to not override existings files.
