Description Martin Väth 2016-08-07 13:42:57 UTC
It seems that dash-0.5.9 is released

http://git.kernel.org/cgit/utils/dash/dash.git/commit/?id=801fbd560d334fc94e98fec4097eeac70ea63e3d

which fixes some bugs like e.g.
printf '%b' 'begin \0 end'

(in current dash-0.5.8.2 this outputs "begin ").

When bumping, please also consider removing dumb-echo.patch, because this is not XSI compliant (and also breaks with ./configure from autoconf-2.13).
I will file a separate bug for this.

This is the ebuild I am using in my personal overlay right now. If no objections arise I gonna do the version bump in a couple of days.

Although I'd prefer to wait for the Debian package, I decided to bump this now as I am using version 0.5.9 for quite a while without any visible problems.
