The current ebuild is oddly versioned "1". The [URL] refers to a different version scheme from 1.0 -> 1.9. Apparently that is to be found at http://distro.ibiblio.org/pub/linux/distributions/slitaz/sources/packages/d/doom1.wad but the origin of that file is unclear (and I don't know a thing about that distro).
Yeah, we could do that. I think this package needs amending to support the full version though, which carries the same version number. I'm surprised this hasn't been done before and there's no package for Doom 2 (which didn't have a shareware release) either.
This was actually done some years ago. We still need ebuilds for the full versions, but I'll do these as separate *-gog ebuilds.
