CCing myself as I added that version to the tree.
Comment 5 Attila Tóth 2016-07-27 09:27:39 UTC
I experience the same error.
Comment 6 Konstantin Münning 2017-01-18 20:36:21 UTC
I have that here too, I assume it came after upgrading opengl to mesa-13.0.3. Probably some API-changes are causing that and a patch is needed. Meanwhile a dependency for the right mesa version should help.
Comment 7 Lars Wendler (Polynomial-C) (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2017-01-21 17:09:34 UTC
I have successfully compiled mixxx on two ~amd64 systems and both have mesa-13.0.3 installed.
Unless someone can point me in the right direction I'M afraid I cannot fix this issue as I simply cannot reporduce it on any of my systems.

What GL-related use flags you keep enabled for mesa: egl, gles1, gles2?

I tried to compile it and it fails because of some chromaprint changes in musicbrainz part:
https://bugs.archlinux.org/task/52117
https://www.mixxx.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=8736
https://github.com/mixxxdj/mixxx/pull/1073/commits
Upon investigating these commits it turns out the source file have changed a lot.
I guess the package need another update...
Comment 9 Lars Wendler (Polynomial-C) (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2017-01-21 21:30:50 UTC
The chromaprint issue is bug #604528 which was fixed in

Comment 10 Lars Wendler (Polynomial-C) (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2017-01-21 21:47:36 UTC
This is how I built mesa:

I sync once a week and that happened after the last sync.

After solving the chromaprint issue, I tried to compile mixxx again and I can still reproduce the current bug.
I also have gles1 enabled for mesa. In order to change this use flag I suspect some packages must be recompiled. I have to check that.
Comment 13 Lars Wendler (Polynomial-C) (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2017-06-22 19:58:28 UTC
Is this still an issue with media-sound/mixxx-2.0.0-r4 ebuild?
Comment 14 Toralf Förster gentoo-dev 2017-06-26 20:27:54 UTC
(In reply to Lars Wendler (Polynomial-C) from comment #13)
I dunno, it fails now in bug #622776 :-)
Comment 15 sautingleung 2017-08-12 07:36:13 UTC
Hi

Came accross this bug myself. I solved it with the following.

The file glslwaveformrenderersignal.cpp (and others in the same directory) requires definitions included with "#include <GL/gl.h>" call. I think this was done in "#include <qgl.h>" but my /usr/include/qt5/QtOpenGL/qgl.h does not have it. Adding #include <GL/gl.h> to qgl.h allowed for the compile to succeed.

Hope this helps
Comment 16 Attila Tóth 2017-08-12 11:56:06 UTC
I could successfully compile mixxx-2.0.0-r4 using Andrew Udvare's patch from bug #622776!
Comment 17 Lars Wendler (Polynomial-C) (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2018-10-26 09:56:16 UTC
Affected version is long gone from ::gentoo.
