The patch mplayer-1.0_pre5-live.patch breaks mplayer at compile time for x86 (LIVE.COM 2004.03.27).  The ebuild assumes that the more recent LIVE.COM version (2004.07.20) is installed, but it is masked ~x86.

The patch should not be applied unless the correct version is installed.

There appeared to be confusion with the stabilizing of a recent mplayer 
security exploit.  Before you a) insult people by calling their actions
stupid in a duplicate bug b) post another bug insulting them some more, please take into consideration that things may happen that a dev hasn't seen yet, not everyone is perfect. I do, however, take pride in solving MPlayer bugs the same day they are posted if it's at all possible (try this one for example).  This is why such comments are not appreciated.  Thank you and sorry for any inconvience this may have caused.
