Created attachment 441254 [details] Log from running `emerge sys-apps/install-xattr` in a prefix Using a gentoo prefix installed through the Android RAP, sys-apps/install-xattr fails to install due to $BINDIR (used in the Makefile) being set to, by default, /usr/bin. This causes the program to be installed to ${EPREFIX}/var/tmp/portage/sys-apps/install-xattr-0.5/image//usr/bin/install-xattr Notice the double forward slash after ${D}. The proper directory should be more along the lines of this: ${EPREFIX}/var/tmp/portage/sys-apps/install-xattr-0.5/image${EPREFIX}/usr/bin/install-xattr Note that the docs are properly installed to the usr/share folder inside of the prefix. Attached is a log of trying to emerge sys-apps/install-xattr. As this is my first bug report, I apologize for any problems there are with it.
Additionally, pasted here is the output from running `emerge --info`. Upon further inspection, version 0.5-r1 fixes this issue. The real issue lied in the fact that I was trying to update portage from an old version. This version didn't support the level specified in the .ebuild for 0.5-r1, so instead it used 0.5 - which has this bug.
Thanks for the report. Glad it worked finally.
