I installed media-gfx/birdfont-2.15.5 and ran it from the commandline. Several complains apeared: "The font Roboto-Regular.ttf not found" and there was no readable information on the left. After I installed media-fonts/roboto-1.2 those errors disappeared and the informations were readable. I assume it is a good idea to rdepend birdfont on roboto: [...] RDEPEND="dev-db/sqlite:3 dev-libs/libgee:0.8= dev-libs/glib:2 media-libs/fontconfig media-fonts/roboto # used font without fallback @ runtime media-libs/freetype:2 media-libs/libxmlbird x11-libs/gdk-pixbuf:2 gtk? ( net-libs/libsoup:2.4 net-libs/webkit-gtk:3= x11-libs/cairo x11-libs/gdk-pixbuf:2 x11-libs/gtk+:3 x11-libs/libnotify )" [...] Hth, ervin
Created attachment 455122 [details] media-gfx/birdfont-2.17.1.ebuild Upstream upgraded to 2.17.1. I propose an ebuild which compiles fine on amd64 and includes an rdepend to media-fonts/roboto #epatch "${FILESDIR}"/${PN}-2.15.5-configure-valac.patch is commented out, because it wouldn't work. HTH Ervin
upgrade to 2.18.3 - renaming the ebuild works... ervin
