it used to work but broke recently with an update (can't remember which version it was, probably around 5.6) affected application are kde4 apps like okular and qt only appps. qtconfig doesn't list breeze as style to choose

Can you confirm kde-base/qguiplatformplugin_kde is installed? Which GCC is installed?

the problem disappeared, probably with the 5.7.2 upgrade. now qt4 apps are again in the breeze look and qtconfig lists breeze as selectable style. thanks everyone
