If you play xskat in multiplayer and use the IRC based server,

  xterm and
  telnet-bsd

were required on my system. I'm not sure how many people use IRC for multiplayer and if this dependency should be added therefor.

Upstream's README discusses patches needed for telnet-bsd (should investigate whether this is still relevant)
