Has been in tree for more than a year. Please stabilize.

I am a bit reluctant to stabilise a snapshot.

How about if we bump the version to 1.0.3 and (assuming there won't be any bugs) stabilise that in a month from now?

If the arch tester teams weren't understaffed I'd say: Why not stabilize both? But in order to keep their workload low, focusing on 1.0.3 is sensible.
