Hello, I'd like to request an update for =app-forensics/sleuthkit-4.2 and app-forensics/autopsy-4.0. I'll be more than happy to work on an ebuild that will WORK but it most likely will not conform to Gentoo development standards (writing style, missing econf line that I don't care about or haven't tested, etc.) Thanks! Alec Ari
please make one ticket per request. From your bug reports I see that you are interested in editing ebuilds. I suggest you to read on https://wiki.gentoo.org/wiki/Overlay/Local_overlay how to create your local overlay. You can use it to test your ebuild experiments or to update foo-1.0.0 -> foo-1.0.1 by simple copying. You will find further help in the wiki and the IRC channels. I've written ebuilds many times, it's not that I need help but some people just don't like them so I keep them to myself to avoid conflicts with other developers. I appreciate it though! Alec Ari
Created attachment 458248 [details] sleuthkit-4.3.0.ebuild with EAPI=6 support and fixed java JNI build and USE="threads" support * bump version sleuthkit-4.3.1 * using EAPI=6 now * tested unpatched building of the JNI extension if USE="java" * USE="threads" for multithreading support
version 4.4 released maybe would be time if someone could update it in portage http://www.sleuthkit.org/sleuthkit/download.php
I added the just released sleuthkit-4.4.1 to my pkalin overlay. It compiles OK (haven't tested USE=java) and a cursory check seems to work OK. Hopefully will do more testing later. https://github.com/thinrope/pkalin
