Attached is new.tar.gz containing new-1.3.1.ebuild. New is a template system, especially useful in conjunction with a simple text editor such as vi. The user maintains templates which may contain format strings. At run time, new replaces the format strings in a template with appropriate values to create a new file. My original though was to put it in dev-util, because the supplied templates are primarily programming language templates. In reality, though, it could be used for any templates, so I leave the decision up to whoever. This is my first ebuild, so I would appreciate any comments on what I should have done better, etc before I release any more.
