Description Gordon Pritchard 2016-06-17 18:33:22 UTC
Problem:

The current sys-block/megacli-8.07.10 refers the user to an LSI URL for download... LSI is no more, and the new owner is Avago. Their website/URL structure is different and the ebuild fetch-restriction warning is now wrong. It should be something like:

http://www.avagotech.com/support/download-search#tab-current-ManagementSoftwareandTools

And, the file to be downloaded is no longer available. At the time of filing this bug, the current file is: 8-07-14_MegaCLI.zip
Again, the fetch-restriction warning and URL should be updated to reflect this and also the Portage package should be updated (something like sys-block/megacli-8.07.14).

As an added note, LSI/Avago released this latest version of MegaCLI tools in 2014...

Reproducible: Always

@gordp:
megacli-8.07.14-r1 is already in the tree since February and uses avagotech download URL.

Oh.... I am sad to say that I did not check for the unstable package - and, there it is. You are correct - sorry for the needless bug :-(
