Maintainership request: app-arch/lrzip/lrzip
Do I understand correctly that you wish to be the proxied maintainer of this package?
Correct. Since nobody else does, I'll try.
Can you tell me how to proceed?
I linked you here two bugs which are for your package. Being maintainer means you should fix them and submit that fix by bugzilla or github. More info: https://wiki.gentoo.org/wiki/Project:Proxy_Maintainers Thanks
Ackowledgement would be app0reciated. Always.

I am sorry I don't understand do you mean acknowledgement on this Maintainership request or did I miss something else? We will change metadata and add you as maintainer after you fix at least one of those bugs. Thanks Amy
Sorry, ACK from my side, I will send an ebuild as soon as I have a running Gentoo installation back (I have a driver problem).
Hi, I submitted the ebuild about a week ago. If there is a problem with it, comments would be appreciated. Anyway, it hasn't made appearance in the portage tree yet.

EAPI 6, please. Remove static libs as requested in the other bug. --docdir is redundant in EAPI 5.

Created attachment 439518 [details] lrzip-0.630.ebuild Sorry, I have not exactly an idea what I am doing, but apparently it might be ok.
Can you pls have a look at the new ebuild, it should do what you requested.
committer Amy Winston <amynka@gentoo.org> 2016-07-06 16:50:48 (GMT) commit a842f31a3ca3749c884417efb284dc8dc84589ff app-arch/lrzip: add proxy-maintainer bug #586132
Since there have been made big changes to this ebuild during version bump I would suggest if there were no bugs you submit stable request after 30 days without no bugs in tree. So we can remove old bad ones. Thanks
Sry, but the handling of my changes to the ebuild remains enigmatic to me. Obviously, it doesn't matter what I do. Somebody else rules and actually commits whatever he or she likes, for whatever reason remains obscure, since he or she does not communicate with me. Therefore, I quit that job formally. Gentoo should elaborate its maintainer rules - in the way experienced, it is completely unacceptable.
