Working ebuilds for net-p2p/bitcoind-0.12.1 and net-p2p/bitcoin-cli-0.12.1 can be found here: https://gitlab.com/bitcoin/gentoo/merge_requests/8/commits

It would be better if 0.12.1-syslibs.patch could be moved out of the tree, as it is rather large.

And someone still needs to take a look at making an ebuild for net-p2p/bitcoin-qt-0.12.1.

0.12.1 is in the bitcoin overlay, please test.

net-p2p/bitcoin-cli-0.12.1 is missing in the overlay. Is this intentional?

Comparing the binaries for bitcoin-cli 0.12.0 and 0.12.1 revealed no changes, so I didn't bump it.

I've been running Bitcoind 0.12.1 from the overlay for the past 13 days with no problems.

0.13.1 is in tree and hopefully stabilised soon, is this old version still relevant?

Not to me.
